About CareerUp
We Built CareerUp to Take the Busywork Out of Job Hunting
Most job search tools give you software and leave you to figure out the rest. CareerUp handles the repetitive work - matching jobs, rewriting CVs, running mock interviews - and has real coaches and mentors there when you need a human view.
What We Do
CareerUp reads your CV and ranks new listings by how well they fit it. For each job you pick, it rewrites your CV and drafts a cover letter around the ad. Before the interview, you can rehearse out loud with a mock interviewer and get feedback on each answer.
Most platforms stop at the software. Our coaches and mentors are working practitioners, vetted before they can take bookings. Book a session when you need advice that goes beyond what any tool can give you.
The Founder
Zafar Khan
Founder & Coach
Zafar spent over a decade in commodities risk at Shell, ENI and Centrica. He watched capable people lose out in hiring processes that rewarded presentation over substance - strong track records buried in CVs that did not speak the language of job ads.
CareerUp is his attempt to fix that. The tools handle the formatting, matching and interview prep. The coaches, Zafar among them, give you the honest view that software cannot.
How We Work
The Rules We Build By
Show the Reasons
Every match comes with a score, the parts of your CV that fit and the skills you're missing. You can see why a job is on your list and dismiss it if it's wrong.
You Send Every Application
We draft CVs and cover letters. You edit them and you decide where they go. CareerUp never applies to a job on your behalf.
A Person When You Need One
Coaches and mentors on CareerUp are working professionals. We review every one before they can take bookings.
Your Data Stays Yours
We don't use your coaching transcripts to train AI models, and you can stop them informing your matches at any time. Delete your account from your profile page and we delete your data.
