Terms of Service

Welcome to CareerAI ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CareerAI website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

By using CareerAI, you agree to: • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain its accuracy. • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. • Promptly notify us at support@careerai.io of any unauthorised use of your account. • Not share your account credentials with any third party. • Use the Service only for your personal, non-commercial job-seeking activities. • Ensure that any information you submit - including your CV - is accurate and does not infringe on third-party rights. You are responsible for all content you upload, submit, or transmit via the Service.

You agree NOT to use the Service to: • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights. • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to employers or through applications. • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications ("spam"). • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or related systems. • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond what is permitted by the API. • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service. • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity. • Upload or transmit viruses or any malicious code. We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Service for any violation of this section without prior notice.

CareerAI offers both free and paid subscription plans. Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are quoted in GBP and are exclusive of VAT, which will be applied where required by law. Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months or periods of unused service, except as required by applicable law (including UK consumer rights legislation). Price Changes: We may change our pricing at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect.

Some plans include 1:1 career coaching sessions with a human coach. The following terms apply to them. Your coaches are independent professionals, not employees of CareerAI. We vet and approve every coach on the platform, but the advice they give is their own. Coaching is guidance, not a guarantee of any particular career outcome, and it is not legal, financial, immigration, or medical advice. Booking uses the session allowance included in your plan. An allowance applies to the period stated in your plan and does not carry over. Cancelling and rescheduling: you may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the session starts, and your session allowance is returned. Inside that window, cancelling forfeits the session. We tell you which of the two applies before you confirm. If your coach cancels, or does not attend, your session allowance is always returned to you and we will help you rebook. You are never charged for a session your coach missed. If you do not attend a session you booked without cancelling it, the session is forfeited. Transcription: coaching sessions are transcribed with your explicit consent, given at booking. You can decline and the session still goes ahead untranscribed. What we collect, how long we keep it, and how to switch it off are set out in our Privacy Policy. Conduct: coaching sessions are professional conversations. We may cancel a session and suspend access to coaching where a participant is abusive, or where a session is recorded or redistributed by a participant without the other party's agreement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CareerAI and its affiliates, directors, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses. CareerAI does not guarantee that: • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. • Any job applications submitted through the Service will result in employment. • The job matches provided by our AI will be accurate or complete. • Any career coaching session will result in employment, promotion, or any other outcome. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to CareerAI in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
